Karla Andrews announces the launch of AWEsome International, a Dallas-Fort Worth based meeting and event planning resource firm with a strong global reach. A veteran planner with a long career in the hospitality field, Karla has held senior meeting planning positions at several Fortune 500 companies, including American Airlines, American Express and third party meeting planning firm, HelmsBriscoe, in addition to launching and managing her own telecommunications firm in her early professional years.

Karla brings to her new venture, AWEsome International, more than 20-plus years of meeting planning knowledge and experience and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. AWEsome International represents Karla’s passion for excellence, as well as her dedication and commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Married with two children, Karla is an active member of her community where she volunteers with several organizations.

Joining Karla’s team at AWEsome International is Karin Alvarado, who assumes the role of vice president of operations. A former associate vice-president at HelmsBriscoe, Karin brings twenty years of hospitality experience working with clients such as American Eagle Airlines, Tysons Foods, and a Moment’s Notice Meeting & Event Management. Karin is married and has twin daughters.

Karla and Karin are both members of Connect Professional Development Committees, Association & Corporate. These committees provide insight into industry trends: they pattern and assist in the development of professional initiatives for Associations and Corporations, and provide connections with the necessary support to insure live event education continues to remain top-shelf and relevant.
