American Heart Association
Karla Andrews has served on the Passion Committee for Go Red for Women with the American Heart Association which encourages awareness of the issues of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives.
Only 55 percent of women realize heart disease is their No. 1 killer and less than half know what are considered healthy levels for cardiovascular risk factors like blood pressure and cholesterol. Karla enjoyed working as Co-Chair for Legacy of Women raising over two hundred thousand dollars for Domestic Violence. The luncheon is the largest fundraising event which raises money for Domestic Violence at SafeHaven. The mission of SafeHaven is to end domestic violence through safety, support, prevention and social change.
